Beijing Motor Corporation Ltd.
Beijing Motor Corporation Ltd., Invested by BSAM, is the first Chinese-Foreign joint venture production project ever established after China’s entry to WTO.
BSAM invested in Beijing Motor Corporation Ltd. in 2002, and then became a major shareholder of the Corp., the major investment project of which is the Beijing Hyundai Motors Co., Ltd. joint constructed with South Korea’s Hyundai Motors. Its scope of business includes the manufacture and sale of Hyundai branded automobiles, engines and parts, marking the first Chinese-foreign joint venture production project after China’s entry to WTO.
As of the end of 2009, the Corp. had an annual production capacity of 500,000 cars. In 2010, BSAM took part in and initiated the establishment of Beijing Motor Corporation Ltd. On September 28, 2010, Beijing Motor Co., Ltd. formally changed its name to Beijing Motor Corporation Ltd.
